Dr. Hau Yuan Wen

Dr. Jasmine Hau Yuan Wen is a research fellow at UTM-IJN Cardiovascular Engineering Centre and also a senior lecturer at School of Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 2012. Her research and core expertise are in the processing architecture design of multi-processor systems-on-chip (MPSoC) / networks-on-chip (NoC), from electronic system level (ESL) modelling to Register Transfer Level (RTL), as well as field programmable gate array (FPGA) prototyping and deployment. From there her research interests have spread into the field of cryptographic and data security application, biomedical instrumentation design such as wearable heart rhythm monitor design and home-based vital sign monitor design, as well as biomedical application such as arrhythmia classification and medical imaging processing using deep learning and machine learning algorithm, telecardiology / telemedicine, as well as ADHD/autism assessment. She has published more than 50 publications and has secured more than 10 research grants until present. She also has filed more than 15 Intellectual Property like patents and copyrights. She has also won more than 10 awards in both international and national design competition as well as the best paper awards in few international conferences.
